What does a part cost in energy?

Measure energy where production happens. Visiolog combines measurements from machines and peripheral equipment with production data, so you can relate consumption to what you manufacture.

Visiolog Energy Measurement

From meter to part

  1. 01
    Measure

    Machines and peripheral equipment

  2. 02
    Combine

    Direct readings and allocated shares

  3. 03
    Compare

    Energy use and produced parts

See where energy is used

Keeping measurements and production data together makes it easier to track consumption and compare machines and periods.

Machines and peripheral equipment

Link meters to production machines and surrounding equipment. Attribute consumption to the right part of production.

Direct or allocated consumption

Use a meter directly on the machine or allocate a share of a shared meter to linked consumers.

Consumption over time

Compare meter consumption over a selected period. See totals in kWh and each meter's share of overall consumption.

Energy in the production report

See energy use alongside machine production for the selected period. Missing readings are not shown as zero consumption.

From kWh to energy cost per part

Compare measured consumption with the number of parts produced and your own energy price. This provides a basis for assessing energy as part of product cost.

Energy per part = energy use in the period ÷ number of parts produced

Energy cost per part = kWh per part × your energy price per kWh

Allocation of shared equipment depends on the shares you configure. Measurements and production figures must cover the same period.

Start with the right measurement points

We review machines, peripheral equipment and shared meters with you. Meters and links to production are agreed for your installation.
